Hi, I’m Denise.

Nothing makes me happier than helping new parents navigate the transformative journey of welcoming a newborn into their lives, guiding them as they establish their "new normal." With over two decades of dedicated experience catering to the needs of infants through the age of 5, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to support families during this crucial phase.

My educational background includes a degree in Early Childhood Special Education from Western Washington University, complemented by a minor in Early Childhood Education. I have held certification as a Post-Partum Doula through Doulas Of North America (DONA), and I am currently certified through Northwest Association for Perinatal Support (NAPS). Additionally, I have successfully completed both the basic and advanced Newborn Care Specialist programs, further enhancing my capabilities to provide comprehensive assistance.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of leading parent/infant and toddler education programs, and I have even adeptly managed an infant room, caring for up to four infants independently! I love teaching parent/infant/toddler classes and will be back teaching fall of 2024.

Beyond my professional pursuits, I am a wife and a mother of two adult children, underscoring my deep understanding of the dynamics of family life.

I am eager to learn more about you and your unique story when we have the opportunity to connect. Your journey is of utmost importance to me, and I am committed to ensuring a seamless and confident transition for your growing family.

From Happy Clients:

“Denise is the absolute best Post Partum Doula. I truly couldn’t have done this without her. She is knowledgeable and understands personal and postpartum struggles for both Mom and baby!

Denise is kind, understanding, and a wonderful person. I would absolutely use Denise again as a Post Partum Doula.

Denise is like magic for newborns. There’s nothing like having another set of safe hands for your new baby. She was such a comfort to our baby girl and to us!.”

— Marisa

“Denise (or Nini to us) was extremely supportive to my husband and I when we were in the throes of early first time parenthood. We felt at ease when she was around and felt fortunate to get her expert insight and tips.

She was more than willing, and quick to learn, the unique intricacies of pediatric feeding disorders and feeding tubes. We feel lucky to have had her as a resource...and baby whisperer, since our daughters infancy.”

— Melanie

“Our family has been absolutely blessed to have Denise (aka Nini) in our lives, as she has cared for and supported both our children in their infancy. Not only did she support them as newborns, but she supported my husband and I also as first time (and second time) parents, and always made us feel at ease.

She is an expert at what she does and she is passionate. If we ever had a question about the basic essentials of caring for a newborn/infant or needed some insight on their development and milestones, she always had an answer for us or knew where to guide us to get those answers. When our son had a cranial helmet for four months, Denise took it on without thinking twice. She was quick to learn the tricks and was able to adapt quickly to his needs.

With her amount of knowledge and decades of experience, Denise was an advocate for my babies. They truly would not be thriving as much as they are today if it weren’t for her presence in our lives.”
